Upcoming Giveaway: Lowrider Baking Co.

In early April, we started giving away some of our favorite products from local companies to bring some unexpected joy to our customers and support local businesses hit hard by the coronavirus. The reception has been so great that the giveaways have taken on a life of their own.

Next up: Lowrider Baking Co.

Order a whole pie this Wednesday, September 30, and we’ll give you a two-pack of Lowrider’s signature cookies—a Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chunk and a Birthday Cake—while supplies last.

Emily Allport first built a following for Lowrider (named after her two dachshunds) by selling her fabulous cookies at farmer's markets and pop-ups around Seattle. As her reputation grew and customers begged for more access to her sweet treats, Emily opened two retail locations: one in the Central District, the other in Georgetown.

Their Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chunk—a self-confessed fancy name for their chocolate chip cookie— is their most popular cookie. It’s made with brown butter, three types of chocolate, and is topped with sea salt. Their soft Birthday Cake cookie is way more than just a sugar cookie. It has almond extract, white chocolate chips, and crunchy sprinkles on top.

For those really in need of a sugar fix—or who have a birthday coming up (or both)—Lowrider’s cookie cakes are worth noting. They’re like a cake, but with layers of cookie and cream cheese frosting. Four layers of cookie and four layers of frosting to be exact. Each cake is six inches and serves six to ten people.

If you can’t stop in the retail locations, which are well worth the stop, you can order through the delivery apps Grubhub, ezCater, and UberEats. You can also place an order for pickup, and it’ll be packaged and ready for you on arrival.

Enjoy!
