Pagliacci Community Support

Jordan Morris Foundation

Jordan Morris Foundation

Seattle Sounders star Jordan Morris has Type 1 Diabetes. He recently hosted a soccer camp for kids living with the disease. We recruited Ames Bros to design water bottles for each kid that attended the camp. In addition, we treated the campers to a pizza lunch, and my family volunteered for the day. The incredible amount of responsibility the kids take on to manage their disease moved us deeply. Ever wonder why we so meticulously update our nutritional information? These kids are using the carb counts to calculate how much pizza they should eat.

Community Passageways

By now, most of you know about Dominique Davis and the work he does with Community Passageways. Last year, in the height of the unrest around social justice issues in our area and across the country, we raised $150,000 through Go Fund Me. This year, we launched another campaign with high hopes. While we didn’t meet our goal this year, we were able to raise almost $45,000. More importantly, we continue to help Dom break the school-to-prison pipeline by providing jobs to create a school-to-life success pipeline and mentoring to the CP youth.

St. James Cathedral Kitchen

Pagliacci has supported the kitchen for years. Michelle and I work the dining room every Tuesday, Pagliacci founder Dorene Centioli cooks every Friday, and many Pagliacci employees have volunteered over the years. Before Covid, up to 150 guests would come every weekday to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. After a quick pivot, these guests now get a to-go dinner and a bagged lunch for later. A limited number of guests can sit at socially distanced tables to eat if they like. Covid upped the need, so we increased our contribution by delivering pizza once a week.

The Archbishop Hunthausen Annual Golf Tournament, the annual fundraiser for the kitchen, was held on August 30. Pagliacci is the main fiscal sponsor, and I chair this event. Several of the golfers are Pagliacci employees or vendors. We love supporting the kitchen.

In addition to these organizations, we have donated $42,006.35 of pizza and gift cards in our communities so far this year to PTAs, health clinics, homeless shelters, and arts organizations such as Seattle Rep, Pacific NW Ballet, Seattle Opera, and Meany Presents. We also donate pizza to Make-A-Wish kids, the emergency shelters in many communities, and BIPOC youth living on the streets, to name a few.

By supporting Pagliacci, you are a part of these donations as well. You are a big part of what makes Pagliacci great!

Thank you!  Matt Galvin  Pagliacci Pizza
