Red Square won’t be the only place for food and live music on April 19th. In conjunction with University of Washington’s HuskyFest featuring KEXP’s Hood-to-Hood 2013, Pagliacci’s original location on “The Ave” will feature a line-up of local musical acts from 3-7PM. A community celebration, UW’s HuskyFest features live music with KEXP’s broadcast and Hood-to-Hood Concert, Earth Day celebrations, and much more. The campus festivities inspired Shift Leader, Brittian Piper, to organize a great line-up of Pacific Northwest bands to play at the pizzeria. They include:
- Jacob Jaffe of alt-folk Seattle band, Younger Shoulder
- Ozarks, modern baroque/pop sound from Portland
- Isaac Pierce of Portland’s “ergonomical” indie folk band, Ten-Speed Music
- Thom Strub from The Ironclads, Seattle-based alt-pop
Keeping the energy up between sets is DJ OVerPeT, otherwise known as University pizza cook extraordinaire, Nik Petersen. Wander on over for a slice and some excellent regional music this Friday.
