 A Little History:
When Pagliacci announced that it was opening in Ballard, we didn't realize that we missed the mark and landed on Crown Hill, which was described to us as a sort of suburb of Ballard.
We took over a place that had been the Sunset Tavern. For a while, some of its patrons wandered in the back door of the delivery kitchen, expecting to quench their thirst with some ale. When the kitchen opened on March 31, 1993, there were those who thought 85th Street was way way way out, perhaps too far for anyone to know about us. It is now one of our busiest delivery kitchens.
After eleven years of tossing pizza, the 85th Street Delivery Kitchen underwent a remodel in the Fall of 2004. The dining area was expanded. The kitchen was rearranged. The interior matched the "look" of the newer delivery kitchens. The exterior was changed, giving it a warmer appearance and making the sign more visible further down the street. The 85th Street crew kept the pies flying through the remodel and they've never looked better.
